Mission: 

Complete language service projects on time, respecting the required budget, volume and quality.

Main activities and tasks:

 Language projects:

–  Project life cycle:

• Understanding and following instructions and specifics of the project and the affiliated account;
• Provision of the requested service in accordance with the procedures;
• On Time Delivery;
• Ensure the follow-up requested by the PMs.

– Technical knowledge of cat and QA software: MemoQ, Trados, MemSource and Wordfast. Xbench, QAD, Snellpell;

– Fluency in the language pairs, fields and styles of translations provided.

 Quality management:

• Regular reading of quality reports, feedbacks and/or complaints;
• If applicable, preparing quality reports and sharing feedbacks in case of proofreading or quality control.

Communication:

• Constant communication with Project Managers.

Hard skills:

• Proficiency in IT and cat tools;
• In terms of translation: ability to translate content and solve language content understanding problems, ability to transpose content into the target language in accordance with the client-PST agreement;
• Linguistic and editorial skills in the source language and in the target language;
• In terms of research, acquisition and processing of information (with experience in handling research tools, effective use of available sources of information);
• Cultural: use of information and terminology related to behaviour, local values, and culture;
• Technical: knowledge, skills and know-how;
• In the translation field: ability to understand the content in the source language and translate it in the target language using the appropriate style and terminology.

Required for Translator:

Qualifications (evidence of at least 1 of the following):

• University degree in translation (diploma recognized by a higher education institution);
• University degree in another field recognized by a higher education institution + 2 years of full-time professional experience (or equivalent) in translation;
• Professional experience of more than 5 years full-time (or equivalent) in translation;
• Translation test or Proz score 4/5 on 10 reviews.

Required for Reviewer:

• Professional skills of a translator;
• Qualifications of a translator;
• Experience in translation/revision in the required field;
• Translation test or Proz score 4/5 on 10 reviews.

Required for Expert Reviewer:

• Specialized in the required field;
• Degree in the required field from a higher education institution and/or experience in this field;
• Translation test or Proz score 4/5 on 10 reviews.

Objectives: 

•  Do not exceed 1 substantiated claim per quarter;
• Do not exceed 1 negative quality report per month;
• Stick to project budget;
• Zero delays.
